Four Wheeling with Grandpa

We are in the process of trying to get our backyard semi finished. In the process, we have to move some pretty big rocks from a ledge way up above. Grandpa is using the four-wheeler to move them, and Hayden decided he wanted to help. So before bed I took him out and he went for a ride. He loved it! But we're going to have to keep the keys away from him!! He really was checking everything out and trying to drive it by himself.

Fun in the Summertime!

So, we finally got the little swimming pool out of storage and Hayden went for his first swim. He splashed and splashed and had a great time. I'm not sure I am ready for him to go to a big pool yet, but I think we'll try and go in the next few weeks.

He's walking!!!

My goodness how time flies!!! Hayden is getting bigger and bigger every day! And now, he's really starting to realize that walking is the way to get around!

Now, he's take a few steps between 2 people, or me and a chair, but he really hasn't been 'walking'. Then tonight, he pulled himself up on grandma's bed, took a few steps, stood there for a second (this is where he usually gives up and sits down), then he looked back at me and grandma, and kept right on going out of the room before he fell over. The rest of the night, he was a walking machine.

He's not doing much walking today, but I'm sure he'll keep up the momentum, and before too long I'll never be able to sit down for more than a second or two!
