First Black eye and First Haircut

Hayden got his first big owie this last weekend. He was playing with an empty storage bin (why did we buy him all those new toys for his birthday?). Anyway, he was trying to stand up with it and it flipped up and hit him right across the nose and his cheek under his eye. He cried for about ten minutes and then was ok. I think I was more freaked out than he was. And of course I then had to torture him to get pictures of it every day.

So... Hayden has had this really long piece of hair on the top of his head, it falls in the middle of his forhead and because of his widow's peak hairline he looks like a little devil... Well, since he had his first birthday I decided it was time to cut his hair.

He looks so cute, although I haven't been able to get it to go spiky like I wanted. Grandpa took a video, but I haven't copied that onto the computer yet. But here are a few pictures of his new do.

Life Updates

So as most of you know, I had a little boy in May of 2007. He is the sweetest thing and I am grateful every day that he is mine. We have had a ton of fun as he gets older and I am so excited for summer. I have 3 weeks of school left and then I'll be FREE!!!!

Hayden is now ONE.

He has 9 teeth with several more on their way, which makes for some sleepless nights! He is cruising along the furniture and getting close to standing on his own and walking. (Grandma says he can wait 3 more weeks for that so she doesn't have to be the one chasing him around!)

Other than a mild case of RSV and double ear infections in January (we didn't have to go to the hospital, we just had to do breathing treatments at home,) Hayden made it through his first year without getting really sick. I am very thankful for that.

He got a swing for his birthday and LOVES going high.



As you can see he is also sporting a lovely black eye. He was playing with one of my empty storage bins and it popped up and smacked him across the nose and under his eye. I expected it to be so much worse! But he handled it like a champ!
